Experience:
-
Full stack software development, 10+ years (preferred / 5+ years, required)
-
Javascript, Typescript and Angular version, 6+, 5+ years
-
Enterprise Java, 5+ years including microservices based backendsProficiency in SQL, including knowledge of RDBMS data modeling (PostgreSQL preferred) and implementation of high-performance database applications, query optimization and troubleshooting bottlenecks
-
Secure coding best practices, and knowledge of standards such as OWASP and source code analysis tools such as SonarQubeAWS services such as Cognito, EC2, S3 and CloudFront
-
Knowledge of OAuth2 protocol and current authentication and authorization best practices

Management of a distributed team (preferred)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer technology, statistics, mathematics, or a relevant field (required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Architect scalable, secure, and performant solutions for application based on an Angular frontend and a Java Microservices backend

Actively manage one or more core code areas from a vision / design, implementation, and testing perspective

Actively participate in setting and enforcing coding standards and processes, and architecture compliance

Ensure best practices are captured and communicated to the teamEffectively communicate complex architectural and development concepts

Support and verify adherence to quality, process, and security standards, including code audits

Provide technical guidance and coaching to development team
Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to understand, design, develop, and implement scalable Java Microservices based applications

Demonstrated ability to understand, design, develop, and implement scalable SQL database applicationsDemonstrated ability to understand, design, develop, use and implement Javascript and Angular applications

Knowledge in the design and modeling of relational and No-SQL databases

Experience with GitHub, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, Discord, AWS

Self-starter that requires minimal supervision

Positive attitude and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment

Proven track record of meeting ambitious software development timelines and a reputation for both setting and hitting deadlines

Excellent verbal / written English communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical lingo

Experience with global projects, including deliverables in multiple countries and working with international teams

Passionate about building an innovative culture
